Course Description
This BTEC course is suitable for those who are aiming to pursue a career in the uniformed public services. This course will prepare you for the mental and physical challenges of a career in this sector, as well as giving you a great foundation to study degree courses such as Public Services, Criminology, Law or Forensics.
Entry Requirements:
5 GCSE grades 4+. English and Maths is preferred but re-sit opportunities will be given for pupils who do not achieve them.

Course Assessment
Students will complete the Extended Diploma over the two years which is equivalent to 3 A-Levels and is recognised by employers and universities. The Extended Diploma consists of 18 units and is assessed through coursework and may involve external examinations*. Assessment will be through a variety of methods including written assignments, case studies, along with projects, practical performance observation and time-constrained assessments. All units are assessed internally by staff and then moderated by the exam board (Edexcel).
