On Thursday 11th November 2021, Castleford Academy pupils and staff held a two-minutes silence to recall the end of First World War hostilities.

The Last Post was performed by Garry Hallas, with uniformed members of the Castleford Sea, Air and Marine Cadets all paying tribute on the day.
