On Tuesday 27th April, Year 10 pupils welcomed the ‘Prison? Me? No Way!’ staff back to Castleford Academy. 

It was an absolute pleasure to host external visitors in the academy once again, made even more so as both pupils and staff alike had such an exciting, engaging and informative day.

The sessions delivered by serving prison officers, youth workers and even ex-prisoners included safety awareness around the following current issues; County Lines, Knife Crime and E-Safety.

Year 10 were an absolute credit to the academy, and received glowing feedback from the visitors: “What a fantastic day, the pupils were amazing and so involved, and as always the teacher were all brilliant too. Please thank all the pupils who showed us around the school they were a brilliant help”

We look forward to working with ‘Prison? Me? No Way!’ staff again next academic year.
