Castleford Academy
Congratulations to Year 11 pupils who have received their GCSE results this week. We recognise that this has been a very challenging two years for Year 11 pupils, something which we believe makes their achievements all the more special. The process of awarding grades was very different this year however, the method followed was very rigorous and as a result, the grades that pupils have received are truly a reflection of their ability, work ethic and the skills and knowledge they have gained over the last two years. We are delighted with their achievements and very proud of the time they have spent at Castleford Academy. We hope that their individual success will be a springboard to a very bright future. We wish them well with their next steps in their education and training.
The Chair of Governors John McNichol added “We wish all year 11 pupils every success in the future and thank parents for their support over what has been a very challenging two years.”
The Headteacher George Panayiotou beamed, ‘We are delighted with the achievements of Year 11 pupils; they have always been great ambassadors for the academy. Remember to always aim high, work hard and success will be inevitable.’ Associate Headteacher, Daniella Cook added, ‘Well done to all Year 11 pupils. We are very much looking forward to celebrating pupils’ achievements at GCSE Presentation Evening in November.’
