EBACC: 20% of pupils achieved EBACC (This means pupils who got a GCSE grade 5 or better in English, Maths, Science, a language and History or Geography). 33% of our students were entered for the EBACC.

Progress 8 KS2 PA groups: high and middle prior attaining pupils achieved significantly above national. Pupils with low prior attainment achieved above national. 

Progress 8 disadvantaged students: achieved above national non-disadvantaged students.

​​​ 2019 Individual Subject Highlights

In English, 79% of students achieved grade 4 or higher, 63% grade 5 or higher and 15% grade 7 or higher. 7 pupils were also awarded the new 'super grade' 9 in English.

In Maths, 76% of students achieved grade 4 or higher, 64% grade 5 or higher and 25% grade 7 or higher. An amazing 72% achieved a grade 4 in both English and Maths with 54% achieving a grade 5 in both. 12 pupils were also awarded the new 'super grade' 9 in Math's.

Over 65% of students achieved a grade 4 in the new Science Trilogy qualification worth 2 GCSE's with almost half of Separate Science students achieving a grade 7+ in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

21/29 subjects achieved above the national averages for grade 4 and above, 24/29 subjects achieved above the national averages for grade 5 and above and 18/29 subjects achieved above the national averages for grade 7 and above.​

The following subjects (4/29) achieved 20% or more above national for grade 4 and above (or equivalent): BTEC Art; BTEC Construction; PE and Religious Studies.

The following subjects (9/29) achieved 20% or more above national for grade 5 and above (or equivalent): Maths; Chemistry; BTEC Art; BTEC Construction; BTEC Music; CiDA; Media Studies; PE and Religious Studies.

The following subjects (4/29) achieved 20% or more above national for grade 7 and above (or equivalent): Biology; BTEC Health & Social Care, BTEC Sport and PE.

The following subjects (10/29) achieved 10% or more above national for grade 4+, 5+ and 7+ (or equivalent): Biology; Computer Science; BTEC Art; BTEC Construction; BTEC Health & Social Care; BTEC Music; CiDA, Media Studies and PE.

PE achieved more than 20% above national for grades 4+, 5+ and 7+.

The following subjects were graded as an ALPS 4 or higher: English Language; Maths; Biology; Chemistry; Physics; Science Trilogy; Computer Science; Geography; BTEC Art; BTEC Constructing, BTEC Media; BTEC Music; BTEC Sport; Food; PE and RE.

Behind our fantastic results lies the hard work and dedication of all of the students, staff and support from parents which made these results possible.  The staff worked tirelessly with students and the students spent a great deal of time in extra revision sessions where we had the much needed support of our parents
