​Year 11 students 2017/2018 make outstanding progress at Castleford Academy!

​Students and staff at Castleford Academy are proud of another fantastic year of GCSE results. Despite the turbulence of the new GCSE exam system, on average pupils at Castleford Academy achieved almost half a grade higher than expected in their subjects compared to the national average. ​

A*-C English and Maths: 72% 

EBACC: 9% of pupils achieved EBACC (This means pupils who got a GCSE grade 5+ in English and Maths and a grade C+ in Science, a language and History or Geography. 10% of our students were entered for the EBACC. 90% of pupils who chose to study these option choices achieved this measure!).

Student destinations (the percentage of students who continue in education or training, or move on to employment at the end of 16 - 19 study) = 95%​

Behind our fantastic results lies the hard work and dedication of all of the students, staff and support from parents which made these results possible.  The staff worked tirelessly with students and the students spent a great deal of time in extra revision sessions where we had the much needed support of our parents.
