EBACC: 7% of pupils achieved EBACC (This means pupils who got a GCSE grade 5+ in English and Maths and a grade C+ in Science, a language and History or Geography. 10% of our students were entered for the EBACC. 76% of pupils who chose to study these option choices achieved this measure!).

Student destinations (the percentage of students who continue in education or training, or move on to employment at the end of 16 - 19 study) = 95%​

​​​ 2018 Individual Subject Highlights

In English, 77% of students achieved grade 4 (Equivalent to a GCSE grade C), 61% grade 5 (The new strong pass standard) and 15% grade 7 (Equivalent to a GCSE grade A). 5 pupils were also awarded the new 'super grade' 9 in English.

In Maths, 73% of students achieved grade 4, 53% grade 5 and 24% grade 7. An amazing 68% achieved a grade 4 in both English and Maths with 45% achieving a grade 5 in both respectively. 9 pupils were also awarded the new 'super grade' 9 in Maths.

Over 70 % of students achieved a grade 4 in the new Science trilogy qualification worth 2 GCSE's.

 

Students in the the following GCSE subjects achieved over 70% (grades 4-9)  – English Language, English Literature, Combined Science, French, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Food, Media Studies, Music, PE, Polish, ICT.

Students in the following Non GCSE subjects achieved over 85% (A* - C or equivalent) – BTEC Sport, BTEC Engineering, BTEC Construction, BTEC Health & Social Care, BTEC Drama, BTEC Music.

The following subjects are where students made expected/above expected progress far beyond their subject’s national average: 

Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science Trilogy, Geography, French, BTEC construction, BTEC Drama, BTEC Engineering, BTEC H&S, BTEC Music, BTEC Media, BTEC Sport, GCSE Media, GCSE Music, PE and RE. 

Behind our fantastic results lies the hard work and dedication of all of the students, staff and support from parents which made these results possible.  The staff worked tirelessly with students and the students spent a great deal of time in extra revision sessions where we had the much needed support of our parents.​ ​
